Thanksgiving was great, lots of food. The day after, instead of fighting the crowds, we went to Heritage Homestead and to the Fort Worth Parade of Lights. Everyone had a great time.
The Story of Christmas by Gwen Ellis November 5, 2009
The Story of Christmas by Gwen Ellis
This is a children’s book. As the title implies it is a story about Christmas. It takes the biblical story of the birth of Jesus found in Luke and translates it into a very easy to read/ understand story for children. I read this book to my four and two year olds. It was too simple for the four year old but very appropriate for the two year old. I would say this book would suit children from one to about 3 years old. The message is very clear and the pictures are great. It was very easy to point out characters and events on every page. There is not a strong spiritual pull to this book. It very simply tells the story of Christmas. I would recommend this book to anyone with very small children.

The Sixth Month October 16, 2009
My baby has finally passed the half year mark. How sad, but not really. He is turning into a very sweet little boy. He can now roll back and forth and sit up with a little support. He eats solid food (if that’s what you call Gerber) and loves it. He “talks” all the time and sprouted his first tooth on Sept. 30. His second on Oct. 21. He now weighs in at 15 lbs and 6 oz. And is almost 26 inches tall. He sure is growing. We recently visited the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens and got some wonderful photos. Hope you enjoy.

Just a Swingin’ September 17, 2009

Four Months Old August 15, 2009
So I know it’s been to long since I have updated this blog, I apologize to the three people who look at it regularly. Today Benjamin is 4 months old and I can hardly believe it. How he has grown! Just this past week he has had two milestones. 1. Rolling over, tummy to back. and 2. pulling on objects hanging in front of him. He is becomming very interactive. He loves to smile and coo at just about everyone. So it would be wrong of me as a mommy of three to leave out the other to so and update on Emmalee, she is starting kindergarten in two weeks and is so excited. We have been working on her reading skills over the summer and she is doing a great job. She has also become quite an artist, I’ll post some of her recent work later. Christopher had developed a new love of trains. He plays with them almost all day long. Of course this also means no one else gets a turn so we have been working on sharing. He has also been potty training and he is doing great. He spends all day in big boy shorts and only has about one accident or less per day. I am so proud of him. Here are some recent photos for you to enjoy.
